"Yeah?"
"You feeling normal yet?" she asked bluntly.
"Yes, you?"
"A little achy, but that's not what I meant."
"I saw the headlines this morning. They deathtrapped you, didn't they?"
"Yeah. I was wondering if I could come over and you could bond my gloves to my hands."
Quiet. "No."
"Why?"
"Because I won't do it."
"So there's a way to do it."
"I'm not even going to try to look into finding a way."
"Fine, I'll find somebody who will."
"I have to point out that it's a remarkably bad idea."
"Whatever." She sighed.
"You OK?"
"Yeah. I gotta go."
