Danger Squad II Rogues Gallery
The new Danger Squad has racked up an impressive batch of enemies, detailed below. It seems to be the Squad's curse that they seldom capture anyonethey foil plans and stop crimes, but their best villains keep getting away. As such, many of them still have no background or identity information on file.
Blue Star
A mysterious, behind-the-scenes figure, Blue Star is a purveyor of illicit variant technology to England's underworld. He buys, sells and moves variant tech from Europe, Asia, and the United States, and has taken recently to moving restricted Plovian technology and scientists out of UN facilities to the wider world. He's a capable scientist and engineer himself, and has several unique weapons designs on the world market. It's unknown whether such devices or natural variance accunt for his own impressive powers of gravity manipulation. Blue Star is seen only as a spherical shape or a humanoid form made of blue force, and is able to redirect and solidify gravity for a variety of effects. Other than the Danger Squad, his most persistent foe is Dr. Alwyn Charm, whose scientific prowess the Squad calls upon to combat this renegade genius.
Cardinal
Blessed with inhuman agility and charisma, outfitted with high technology, Cardinal is a thief for fun and profit. According to Hawthorn, who spent weeks tracking him for the kill before the Squad got involved, Cardinal is most likely the grandson of a Seelee. Like all of fey blood, he inherited some powers from thatthree generations removed, they are limited to superhuman charm and grace. An incurable showoff, he engages in high-profile robbery and burglary and the occasional dalliance with debutantes and starlets (sometimes relieving them of their cash before their virtue, sometimes after). His specialized arrows were built and are still provided by Blue Starin fact, keeping himself in arrows explains why he performs so many heists. The British press love him, and Synapse has a personal vendetta with the rogue.
Decay & Entropy
Decay and Entropy were born Siamese twins and discovered their variant abilities at the same age. Well, what would you do with a Death Touch? The pair are now highly sought after assassins and enforcers for the London underworld, though they have operated internationally. They are an excellent team and very dangerous. They are immune to one another's powers. Decay was captured once and escaped. The pair were captured again, but killed seven people and vanished from a maximum security prison. They are presumed to be laying low in London, waiting for the heat to die or a new job to appear. More disturbing rumors have them forming a new criminal organization, which would be a major change in the underworld's balance of power. Decay is missing his left arm from the shoulder, entropy his right.
Killer Thunder
The Killer Thunder suit first arrived on earth in the 1920s, and its wearer, an octopoidal alien menace, was bested by the adventurer Danger Asante (see The Case of the Octopus Assassin), who mistakenly believed he had killed the beast. Instead it recovered slowly and returned to land. In its weakened state it stumbled across a group of saboteurs and smugglers in 1939. These men, over-armed to protect themselves from Stormwolf, blew it to pieces. The battle suit survived, and one of them recovered, eventually discovering its powers and weaknesses. It has been passed from owner to owner over the years, leaving death in its wake. The wearer has access to vast offensive electrical abilities, but use slowly changes his brain electricity, giving him a condition identical to encephalitis lethargica, which Londons doctors are unable to explain.
Reluctant Dragon
Chow Chan's father brought his family to London in 1960, when the boy who would become the Reluctant Dragon was only 10 years old. Upon their arrival Chow's father befriended a Tong Leader, who sheltered the family. Without this man's support, Chow is convinced his family would have died. Chow feels both the weight of these obligations and the veiled threats of what would happen to his family if he disobeys. Taught the family martial arts from an early age, his patron introduced Chow to masters who taught the Dragon skills and abilities far beyond normal men. While he practices daily, as a career he teaches and publishes poetry and calligraphy, with some commercial success. [Jayhan discerned this information, but has not been able to discern the leader's identity or the family's location, so the Reluctant Dragon continues to fight.]
Zimeckis, Larry a.k.a. Legs (& Lizard)
A street thug, Larry "Legs" Zimeckis was best known for his ability to out-run cops, his discretion at avoiding capture, and his over-active mouth. This made him the perfect pigeon for Nocturne, who used Legs as a source in the mid 50s. This changed when Ssslithar (see the Xenologist) gifted Legs with a strength-enhancing suit and an alien attack/recon droid that Legs dubbed Lizard. With Lizard, Legs became a major player, avoiding jail with the help of his robot buddy. He's gone through several stages as a criminal, now running a stable of high-skill/low-variant enforcers for hire, letting others do the dirty work. He is not thrilled with the idea of a gang war with Decay and Entropy, but with his suit keeping him strong and spry, and his droidwhich was designed to deal with prehistoric megafaunaLegs feels he'll come out on top.
