Protective Measures

What follows is the list of equipment that you have to defend yourself against attacks. As with Weapons, these have Weight Factors, which are added to the rest of your equipment to see if you're encumbered. The Armor Rating of the armor reduces the damage from any physical or impact-based damage; half that amount is used for defending against magical or fire damage. Shields provide armor bonuses, which are added to your armor rating when called into play.
